The Super Groovers consists of a core group of two super talented musicians residing in Los Angeles, Frank Villafranca originally from Buffalo N.Y. playing tenor, alto, soprano saxophones and flute and Andrew D. Gordon originally from London England playing keyboards, guitar, computer programming, creating modern jazz/funk/latin/blues grooves influenced from the 60's & 70s. Their first album “Supergroovin” released in the spring of 2007 received international airplay with the title track “Super Groover” charting on many smooth jazz radio playlists. The Super Groovers, have put together an exceedingly cool collection of original contemporary jazz tunes, expertly embellished with elements of blues, funk, and Latin grooves.” Scott O’Brien SmoothJazz.com. Besides performing and recording artists they are both music educators and between them have written over 30 music educational books that are sold all over the world. They are currently working on a series of smooth jazz educational books for woodwind and brass instruments.
