From the city of Philadelphia, Gail Jhonson began playing piano at the age of 10, had her 1st gig by 14, received a B.A. in composition from the Berklee College of Music, then later moved to Los Angeles to make her dream career come true! Gail has three contemporary jazz CD's: "It's About Time", "Keep The Music Playing" and "Pearls". As an educator of 12 years at famed Musicians Institute-Hollywood, she has written 3 books: Funk Keyboards, Dictionary of Keyboard Grooves, & Jazzy Keyboards, Vol. 1. 2008 brought Gail's vision of JaZz in P!nk; an all-star female ensemble of musical women in jazz! Gail was a featured artist for the 2009/2010 Summer Storm Tour, with Norman Brown. She has also toured, performed and/or recorded with: Mindi Abair, Pink, Jermaine Jackson, Bobby Womack, Ray Parker Jr., Brenda Russell, Jessy J, Paul Jackson Jr., Patti Austin & yes Milli Vanilli! 2010 Gail was winner of "Best Jazz Musician" by the American Black Music Association.
