Saxophonist/Singer/Songwriter Mindi Abair has not only set sonic trends, but has broken all the boundaries as she continues to define the less traditional future of jazz. Her own brand of pop and soul meets jazz adds a refreshingly unique voice to an exciting new generation of crossover artists. Her unique hybrid sound ….a mix of cool vulnerability and utter conviction …have brought her to the top of her game. This Florida-raised Berklee College of Music graduate tours to sold out audiences worldwide, hosts a popular internationally syndicated radio show “Chill With Mindi Abair”, and has five successful major label solo releases to her credit “It Just Happens That Way” (2003), “Come As You Are” (2004), “Life Less Ordinary” (2006), “Stars” (2008) and "In Hi Fi Stereo" (2010), which debuted #2 on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Chart. She is an artist ambassador for the Grammy Foundation and Campbells Labels for Education, and she is an elected governor on the board of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Recording Academy. The list of artists she has toured or recorded with are a testament to her talent. They include the Backstreet Boys, Duran Duran, Mandy Moore, Josh Groban, Adam Sandler, Keb’ Mo’, Lalah Hathaway, Lee Ritenour, Teena Marie, John Tesh, Bobby Lyle, Jonathan Butler, Peter White and Rick Braun.
